Chuluut River and Canyon

Tucked away in the heart of Mongolia’s Arkhangai Province, Chuluut River is a vivid showcase of nature’s power and beauty. Carved over millennia by the Chuluut River, the valley offers a unique blend of rugged cliffs, meandering waterways, and expansive grasslands, making it an ideal spot for memorable photo opportunities to share with your friends.

The Chuluut River, meaning "Stony River" in Mongolian, originates in the Khangain Mountains, flows for 415 kilometers, and is a tributary of the Ider River. It is usually frozen during Mongolia's coldest months, from November to April.

Chuluut is an ideal stopover destination before reaching Khorgo and Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur. It offers a great opportunity to stretch your legs, grab a quick bite to eat, and enjoy the magnificent views.
