  • Horse Cultural Festival

    The “Talyn Javkhaa-2026” (Steppe Splendor) Horse Culture Festival is scheduled for January 24, 2026, and will be hosted at the Chinggis Khaany Khuree Tourism Complex in Ulaanbaatar.

  • 2026 Ten Thousand Camel Festival

    Ten Thousand Camels Festival is back this year between February 6-8, 2026.

    Experience the thrilling spectacle of over a thousand Bactrian camels (two-humped) racing across the Gobi Desert. This is the largest race of its kind in the world and has been held annually since 1997 in Dalanzadgad, Umnugovi Province. The event was created to promote the South Gobi as a winter tourism destination.

  • Tsagaan Sar (Lunar Moon)

    Tsagaan Sar, the Mongolian Lunar New Year, is celebrated this year between February 17 and February 20, marking the arrival of the Year of the Fire Horse. It is one of Mongolia’s most important cultural festivals, centered on family, respect for elders, and the renewal of social bonds. During Tsagaan Sar, families thoroughly clean their homes, wear traditional deel clothing, and visit relatives to exchange greetings known as zolgolt, along with well-wishes for health and prosperity. Tables are filled with symbolic foods such as buuz (steamed dumplings), dairy products, and sweets, all representing purity, abundance, and good fortune for the year ahead.

  • Blue Pearl International Ice Festival in Khuvsgul

    The annual Blue Pearl Ice Festival has been held annually since 2000 in Khuvsgul Province, Mongolia. Over the years, it has become a popular destination for both locals and international visitors, attracting over 20,000 people. This is a unique opportunity to experience winter in Mongolia, meet local reindeer herders, and try activities such as ice fishing and dog sledding.

  • POWER Expo & Festival

    Mongolia’s leading international extreme sports and entertainment festival is held annually in Ulaanbaatar, bringing together athletes, performers, and fans from around the world. Marking its 14th anniversary in 2026, the festival will take place from May 8–10 and feature a dynamic program of extreme sports competitions, live entertainment, music, and cultural experiences.

    The event has become a major highlight on Mongolia’s annual events calendar, attracting both local and international audiences.

  • 27th Asian Taekwondo Championships

    Mongolia will host the 2026 Asian Taekwondo Championships, and it will be held in Ulaanbaatar between May 19-21, 2026. Visit the Asian Taekwondo Union website for more info.

    The 11th International Ulaanbaatar Marathon will be held this May, 2026.

  • Ulaanbaatar Grand Slam 2026

    Road to the 2028 Olympic qualification for the Los Angeles games kicking off in June at the Ulaanbaatar Grand Slam 2026 in Mongolia.

  • Xyyp Music Festival (XMF)

    Xyyp Music Festival is a vibrant music event bringing together local artists for two days of live performances and entertainment. The festival will take place on June 26–27, 2026, in Gachuurt, Mongol Shiltgeen, offering a lively outdoor experience for music lovers.

  • Playtime Music Festival 2026

    This is Mongolia’s own version of the Glastonbury Music Festival. Held annually since 2022, and this year marks 25 years of international music festivals in Mongolia. The event features both local and international artists across a wide range of music genres and takes place on the outskirts of Ulaanbaatar, in an area called Nalaikh.

  • World Horse Day Festival

    The World Horse Day International Festival will take place in Mongolia on July 11–13, 2026, celebrating the UN-recognized World Horse Day. Held at Khui Doloon Khudag alongside Naadam, the event will unite 10,000 riders for equestrian sports, cultural programs, and global dialogue.

  • Golden Eagle Festival

    The October Golden Eagle festival is the biggest and most famous in Mongolia, attracting both locals and international visitors. It features eagle hunting competitions, cultural performances, traditional Kazakh games, and horse races.

    The festival is held near the town of Ulgii, the capital of Bayan-Ulgii Province in Mongolia.
